ABOUT ME

WELCOME to my page. I am a mature recently graduated artist. I have studied at "SARA" The Swedish Academy of Realist Art in Simrishamn Skåne from 2019 till 2022.

Before artscool I worked for many years as a lifeguard in Tórshavn, trained shop-assistant in a photo-shop/atelier and sailing in the freight industry.  Since 2001 I worked as a freelance photographer in the Faroe Islands.  In 2015 my partner and I made a life changing decision to move to lovely Sweden. We live in a small town in Småland.

Haling from the remote Faroe Islands in the North Atlantic, my art is very much influenced by the wild and harsh nature of the islands; where light is in a constant  state of fluctation and you can experience all four season within the span of a single day. My landscape portrayals are especially influenced by all the different tones and values found in these ever changing skies, seas and mountains. I love working on small still-lifes, which I make aesthetically pleasant to the eye of the viewer.

I am member of The Swedish Artists' Association and NAS Nordiska Akvarellsellskapet.
